Research Interests
Quantum information theory and quantum computing. I’m interest in the interplay of
physics, mathematics, and computer science in understanding the possibilities and
limitations of quantum mechanical systems for information processing and computation.
Selected Recent Publications
A quasipolynomial-time algorithm for the quantum separability problem
Local random quantum circuits are approximate polynomial-designs
Faithful Squashed Entanglement
Exponential quantum speed-ups are generic
The quantum one-time pad in the presence of an eavesdropper
A generalization of quantum Stein’s Lemma
A reversible theory of entanglement and its connection to the second law
